Our tours combining Australia and New Zealand include an incredible amount in the price. For example, your scheduled international flights, overseas transfers, hotels, an overnight journey on The Ghan (on applicable tours), a cruise on the Milford Sound, daily breakfasts, experienced local tour managers and knowledgeable guides, and many amazing excursions are all already included in the price of your holiday.
All the hotels on our combination tours of Australia and New Zealand are carefully selected by our Directors to ensure they meet their high standards. Over the decades they’ve worked in the travel industry, they’ve come to understand exactly what elements of a hotel work best on a touring holiday, such as location and quality. So throughout your touring holiday, rest assured that we’ve aimed to provide top accommodation, without it costing you the earth.
Your particular hotels will depend on your choice of departure date and itinerary.
All Distant Journeys combined escorted tours to Australia & New Zealand include a 2-night stopover on the outbound journey to New Zealand. Choose from Singapore, Dubai or Bangkok.
ALL HOTELSThroughout your Australia and New Zealand combination holiday, we want you to enjoy a good mix of visits to must-see landmarks and time to experience your destinations in a way that suits you. You might like to try an adventurous activity like climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge or experience the thrill of Shotover Jet in Queenstown. Or if you prefer a more relaxing experience try sampling exquisite wines in The Barossa Valley in South Australia or Central Otago, in New Zealand.
Thanks to our Freedom Days, you’ll have the chance to tailor your experiences to enjoy the things that interest you the most.
The majority of the optional excursions will be booked locally with your Tour Manager, but there are some that must be pre-booked before you depart the UK due to limited space and we suggest these are pre- booked at least 3 months prior to departure and no later than 30 days prior. In Australia any requests later than 30 days will be subject to a 5% surcharge when confirmed. Correct prices will be advised at the time of booking.
If you’ve taken advantage of one of our stopovers on your journey home from Australia and New Zealand, you may want to make the most of your short stay in these exciting destinations by taking an optional excursion or two.
After all, who could visit Singapore without a trip to the world-famous and historic Raffles Hotel for afternoon tea or a Singapore Sling?
