Highlights:
- Visit the dramatic cliffside Uluwatu Temple and enjoy sunset views over the Indian Ocean
- Watch a traditional Kecak dance performed against an ocean backdrop
- Enjoy a relaxed beachfront seafood barbecue dinner at Jimbaran Bay
The evening we head to the southern coast of Bali, enjoying views of the Indian Ocean and dramatic coastal scenery along the way. We arrive at Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of Bali’s most sacred temples, dates back to the 10th century and is revered by Balinese people across the island. Perched on the edge of soaring cliffs on the Bukit Peninsula, the temple offers spectacular views over the ocean, making it an ideal place to watch the sun dip below the horizon.
As dusk falls, you’ll witness a traditional Kecak dance performance. This powerful and captivating art form features dancers moving rhythmically in a circle around a flaming torch, with the ancient temple and glowing sunset providing an unforgettable backdrop.
After the performance, the evening continues with a visit to Jimbaran Bay for a relaxed beachside barbecue dinner. Dine under the stars with the sound of waves nearby as you enjoy freshly prepared seafood, including prawns, squid, clams and grilled fish, served with rice, spinach and sambal chilli sauce in classic Indonesian style.
