Freedom days

When it comes to exploring your destination and discovering new things, it’s important to find the right balance between ensuring you see all the best bits, and still finding time to do the things that interest you. That’s why you have Freedom Days – days which you can spend as you please, with a range of included activities to choose from.

And for the majority of experiences you don’t have to decide before you leave the UK – you can choose many of the excursions as late as the day before, and your local Coach Captain or Tour Manager will make all the arrangements for you.

The majority of the optional excursions will be booked locally with your Coach Captain in New Zealand or Tour Manager in Australia, but there are some that must be pre-booked before you depart the UK due to limited space and we suggest these are pre- booked at least 3 months prior to departure and no later than 30 days prior. Any requests within 30 days of departure will be subject to a 5% surcharge if they can be confirmed. Correct prices will be advised at the time of booking.

YOUR HOLIDAYS OF A LIFETIME

I had a fabulous holiday arranged by Distant Journeys. The flights, hotels and excursions were all expertly arranged. As this was the first time that I had travelled alone I was naturally apprehensive. We were escorted from location to location by our onboard tour guide who provided knowledgeable information about the area. I would certainly recommend DJ to anyone looking to travel to Australia or New Zealand.
