Sydney has recently topped the 2015 poll for the world’s friendliest city for tourists, as voted for by the readers of the illustrious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
The results were found as a result of the Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader Choice Awards survey. Those who voted in the poll claimed that there was nothing not to like about the city, with many voters recanting tales of how excellently they were treated by the local people.
Sydney had previously ranked in the 2014 poll, where they tied for fifth place, in a year which saw Melbourne clinch the top spot.
Those who voted were also questioned about their favourite things to do in the city, with tours of Sydney Harbour topping the list, with climbing the bridge and taking boat tours also included.
Cities in New Zealand have also experienced a good year in the poll, with Queenstown and Auckland ranking third and ninth respectively.
The top ten friendliest cities can be seen below:
1. Sydney, Australia
2. Dublin, Ireland
3. Queenstown, New Zealand
4. Kraków, Poland
5. Bruges, Belgium
6. Edinburgh, Scotland
7. Kyoto, Japan
8. Budapest, Hungary
9. Auckland, New Zealand
10. Reykjavik, Iceland

The organisation and communication were first class. The flexibility in travelling to the destination was impressive and the hotels where we stayed in were all of a good standard. Our Coach was driven by Ken, who was a character and nothing was too much for him.
Mr & Mrs Hall, Magnificent New Zealand
We both enjoyed the Magnificent New Zealand holiday immensely. The Coach Driver/Tour Guide was excellent and the hotels were really comfortable. The holiday was extremely good value and I would recommend it to anyone waning to taste the Antipodean holiday experience.
