Ubizane is a stunning nature reserve covering some 1200 hectares of land, packed with wildlife including Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebeest and White Rhino as well as more than 450 species of birdlife.  Ubizane is one of the oldest reserves in the area, with a heritage going back more than 50 years, and was originally used as a cattle farm, before becoming an eco-tourism property in the late 1960’s.

Having undergone extensive restoration over recent years, Ubizane now combines traditional and authentic local style with every modern amenity and comfort, to ensure that your stay in their unique wildlife reserve is an unforgettable highlight of your South African holiday.

Accommodation

Your accommodation at Ubizane is in either a Zululand Tree Lodge or a Zululand Safari Lodge, both of which are unique in their traditional design.

The Zululand Tree Lodges sit on stilts in the tree tops of the Fever Tree forest, and the Zululand Safari Lodges are of the traditional rondavel style with glass-panelled sliding doors to bring the outside in.  All have every modern comfort including air-conditioning and wifi, and both accommodations share a lovely shaded swimming pool and a choice of restaurants.

Dining

Meals are served in either the traditional Tree Lodge Restaurant , or in the Boma, or Bush dinner site. Offering al fresco dining under clear African skies, the Boma has a roaring campfire where guests can enjoy dinner by candlelight whilst soaking up the bushland atmosphere.
