Tour Description:
This is a local food and wine experience from Port Douglas where you will taste some of the best food and wine that the Atherton Tablelands has to offer. We will take you through a variety of landscapes, from rainforest to stunning ochre savannah plains. The rich volcanic soil allows farmers to grow many and diverse crops from Bananas, coffee, sugar cane, avocados, mangoes, macadamia nuts, citrus and many more. This experience will make you learn many interesting facts about the various foods. First stop being Emerald Creek Icecreamery where you will have a full breakfast following this you will head to Jacques Family Coffee Plantation for a coffee and liqueur. Third stop getting the chance to taste tropical fruits and nuts at the Humpy Nut World. Lunch time soon arrives as you indulge in a gourmet lunch at Australian Platypus park. After lunch you will enjoy a cheese platter and chocolate tasting at Gallo Dairyland. Second to last stop you will taste the fantastic liquers and spirits at Mt Uncle Distillery. The final stop will be Platypus Hut where you will finish the day off tasting Queensland wines and beers.
