If you travel to Australia with Distant Journeys on any of our Australian itineraries, you’ll find a full day excursion to the Great Barrier Reef is included (apart from Australia’s East Coast Jewels).
On arrival on our floating pontoon, located in a natural lagoon fringed colourful coral, you will find marine biologists, dive instructors, qualified lifeguards and cruise attendants all waiting to share the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.
If you’re not sure about diving, but still fancy a bit of adventure and a closer look at this stunning underwater world, then the Seawalker Helmet dive might be just the answer.
This scuba-style experience, takes you to a depth of 3.5 meters below sea level, where you can walk along an underwater platform, amongst the spectacular coral and reef fish, all without even getting your head wet! You will be escorted throughout with a PADI dive instructor to ensure you get the most out of this unique reef experience and a photographer will be on hand to catch those memorable, once in a lifetime moments.
Please Note: A medical declaration will need to be completed before diving. It is recommended for you to review Part A of the medical checklist prior to booking as you may be required to obtain medical clearance from a doctor before participating.
