Highlights:

Famed for its total isolation and intriguing history, a trip to the island prison of Alcatraz makes for an exciting day of exploration. Entry includes a round-trip ferry ticket and a self-guided tour of the prison and its grounds. The National Historic Landmark was an active federal penitentiary for 29 years until 1963, housing some of America’s most renowned criminals. You might even recognise some areas of the island from films and TV shows over the decades. A unique view of San Francisco’s city skyline, the bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge can also be enjoyed from Alcatraz.
