Early in the morning, we set out on a wildlife jeep safari in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s second largest national park. The park’s varied habitats, from open parkland to dense jungle, support a rich diversity of wildlife.

Spot the elusive leopards, one of Yala’s main attractions, as well as herds of wild elephants, sloth bears, wild boars, buffalo, deer and crocodiles. Birdwatchers can enjoy the many species that thrive around the park’s water sources, including streams, lagoons, lakes, and waterholes.
