Set out on a day to enjoy some of the best food and drinks that the Atherton Tablelands has to offer. Travel through a variety of landscapes, from rainforest to stunning ochre savannah plains, where the rich volcanic soil allows many diverse crops to thrive from bananas, coffee and sugar cane to avocados, mangoes and macadamia nuts. Our first stop is the Rainforestation Nature Park for breakfast, followed by a visit to Emerald Creek Ice Creamery. We sample tropical fruits and nuts at the Humpy Nut World. L and ejoy lunch at the Australian Platypus park. After lunch, we head to Gallo Dairyland for cheese and chocolate tasting, before heading to Mt Uncle Distillery to try their fantastic liquers and spirits. Our final stop will be Platypus Hut where we finish the day tasting Queensland wines and beers.
