Experience Lellama, Negombo’s bustling fish market and the country’s second-largest. Located at the north end of Negombo Lagoon near the Munnakare Bridge, the market is a hub for local fishermen, with around 4,000 boats heading out to sea every day.
We begin early to see the market at its busiest, with vendors selling and bargaining over a variety of fresh fish. We can meet the local fishermen and learn more about the fishing industry in Sri Lanka.
