Highlights:

  • Guided walk through Udawattakele Forest
  • Spot rare native birds including parakeets, barbets, and woodpeckers

Today we explore Udawattakele, a former royal pleasure garden in Kandy that has become an abundant, biodiverse rainforest and birdwaters paradise. Accompanied by an experienced guide, we walk through the forest and learn about the flora and fauna surrounding us.

The forest is home to over 460 plant species, including Mahogany, Peru Balsam, and Devil’s Ivy (Ceylon Creeper).
