Whale Watching

Galle

Overview

Pre-booking required

Highlights:

  • Early morning boat trip with a specialist naturalist guide
  • Opportunity to spot blue whales, sperm whales, orcas and dolphins
  • Learn about marine life while cruising the Indian Ocean

We set off early with a transfer to the harbour, where you’ll meet your naturalist guide and crew before boarding your vessel and heading out to sea. The calm morning conditions provide ideal opportunities for marine wildlife spotting as you travel between 20 and 40 nautical miles from the coast.

Scan the waters for blue whales, sperm whales, killer whales and several species of dolphins, often seen in these nutrient-rich waters. Throughout the journey, your naturalist guide will share insights into the behaviour and habitats of the marine life encountered, while the experienced crew navigate the Indian Ocean.
