Highlights:

  • Discover Cusco’s scenic southern valley
  • Witness ‘living Incan history’ at Tipón
  • Visit the so-called ‘Sistine Chapel of America”

Experience a journey back in time with a guided tour of Tipón, Pikillaqta, and Andahuaylillas. Built by the Incas in the early 1400s, Tipón is known for its complex irrigation systems and water channels. These channels, originating from a natural spring, still function today. Afterward, visit Pikillaqta, the walled city that served as the main centre for the Wari culture. It was used for religious and political events and offers plenty to explore. Your tour concludes at Andahuaylillas Church, a small yet impressive colonial church. Often called the "Sistine Chapel of America," it features an impressive collection of Cusco paintings and colourful murals inside. Admire the gold-framed paintings, vibrant murals, and intricate baroque altars that make this site special.
