Get an up-close view of alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos and learn how to tell these camelids apart at Manos de la Comunidad, a local sanctuary for animals and a centre for handmade crafts. Discover how wool from llamas and alpacas is gathered and see how natural dyes are made from local materials. Watch villagers at their looms, turning raw materials into beautiful textiles. Then, step back in time to explore Sacsayhuamán, an imposing Inca fortress built for sun worship. Observe the skill, and admire the craftsmanship, of the ancient Inca builders in the construction of this fortress, fitting each stone perfectly together without any mortar.
