    About the Keio Plaza Hotel

Set in the skyscraper district of Shinjuku, one of the liveliest wards in Tokyo, staying at the Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku places you in a prime position for exploring Japan’s capital and one of the world’s most exciting cities. Shinjuku is one of Tokyo’s main areas for shopping and entertainment, with several shopping malls nearby where you can pick up both quality Japanese goods and some truly unique items. The Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo also offers a variety of services, both in your room and in the hotel, to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be.

If you’d like to try a quintessentially Japanese tea ceremony, the hotel has its own tea ceremony room (sho-fu-an). For those who like to stay active, there is a fitness centre with a number of machines and weights to use, and during the summer months, an outdoor pool is available to use on the seventh floor.

    Dining Options

You’ll never be short of dining options at the Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku; it boasts a staggering 11 restaurants, as well as five bars and lounges, as well as a karaoke room serving drinks for a real Japanese-style evening of entertainment.

Many of the restaurants in the hotel cater to different staples of Japanese cuisine; try teppanyaki at Yamanami, tempura at Shun, sushi at Kyubei, soba at Fumotoya, dishes such as Japanese seafood and Kobe beef at Kagari, and elegant Kaiseki cuisine at Soujuan, which expresses the beauty of the season both in its dishes and its tableware.

The hotel also has restaurants specialising in international cuisine: Korean at Gokoku-tei, Chinese at Nan-En, and French and Italian at Duo Fourchettes. There are also two restaurants offering dishes from all around the world. At the Glass Court Super Buffet, all the dishes are freshly cooked, often right in front of you, offering a live kitchen experience. At Jurin, you’ll find the widest range of dishes, with an a la carte menu serving everything from breakfasts to evening meals and everything in between. It also offers an afternoon sweet buffet, with all you can eat cakes, desserts, ice creams and more.

Each of the hotel’s five bars and lounges also has something different to offer. Duet Art Lounge offers an east-meets-west experience, where a selection of Japanese teas can be served with a Western-style afternoon tea. Afternoon tea can also be enjoyed at the Sky Lounge, a bar with a view – by night enjoy beers, whiskies and cocktails overlooking Shinjuku’s city lights. For a relaxed and luxurious setting, you can’t beat Brillant, the hotel’s main bar, offering a choice of over 200 liquors, which you can sample amongst its charming brick interior. The Cocktail and Tea Lounge is equally as inviting and comforting: a coffee lounge by morning, a tea break spot in the afternoon, and a fashionable bar by night. Finally, Amanogawa is a bar dedicated to Japan’s national drink, sake, with a sake sommelier on hand to pair a quality sake with a seafood or meat dish.
