    Kingdom of Lesotho Mountain Splendour

    Umhlanga

    Overview

    Highlights:

    • Stunning panoramas of South Africa.

An early-morning drive of approx 2,5 hrs takes us to the foot of Sani Pass in the Drakensberg Mountains, gateway to the landlocked independent country of Lesotho, often referred to as “the mountain kingdom”. Passports are required for the border crossing.

We then travel in 4×4 vehicles up the steep & winding road to the top of Sani Pass, where we have spectacular views into South Africa. Enjoy a light lunch & possibly a drink at “the highest pub in Africa”.

Your specialist guide will explain the way of life & some of the local Lesotho customs before we undertake the long return journey to Umhlanga, one of Durban’s most upmarker suburbs.
