Tra Que Village

For a real insight into local Vietnamese life, enjoy a visit to a local community farming project just outside of Hoi An. We start with an easy bicycle ride of about 30 minutes along the village roads and paths between the paddy fields. At Tra Que village, the community has united to create a large vegetable farm and we will take a walk around the farm to see the different vegetables, all of which are grown organically. We will be taught about the traditional methods the farmers use to plant, fertilize and harvest the crops, then have the chance to try raking the ground and sowing seeds ourselves. Our efforts will be rewarded with a wonderful herbal foot bath and massage. Next, we can join in with a short cookery demonstration followed by lunch featuring the delicious vegetables – straight from the farm to the plate!
