Hidden beneath the streets of San Telmo in Buenos Aires are tunnels few have seen. El Zanjón de Granados reveals an underground network of passageways that offers a new view of the city’s past. In 1958, Jorge Eckstein bought an empty building and while renovating it, uncovered a network of tunnels stretching 152 metres beneath the streets where settlers firstly arrived in 1536. Excavations soon began and parts of this private museum have now been restored to their original structure. The tunnels hide a long-forgotten story, waiting to be uncovered again.
