The unhurried pace of life in Kerala makes it an ideal place to round off your tour with a beach stay, and our three-night holiday extension provides a wonderful opportunity to relax and reflect on your time in India.
This holiday extension is available to add to the end of our Grand Tour of India holiday – where on day 24, instead of heading to Cochin for our final night before our flight home, we travel directly to the seaside fishing village of Mararikulam, our home for the next 3 nights.
Itinerary
Day 1: Mararikulam, 3 nights
This morning we journey to the seaside fishing village of Mararikulam. Our home for the next three nights is the Marari Beach Resort. Set amid 30 acres of coconut groves and organic farmland and with direct access to the beach, settle into our individual thatched villa and prepare to relax.

Day 2: Mararikulam
Our day is at leisure to spend as we please. Marari is a nature lover’s paradise and the resort offers a host of activities. Maybe take a morning stroll with one of the resident naturalists, or discover more about the delicious food at Marari Beach Resort with a walk through the hotel’s organic gardens. Pick your own fruit and vegetables and let the team of talented chefs work their magic.

Day 3: Mararikulam
Another day in paradise! Ayurvedic medicine is rooted at the heart of Indian culture and at Marari Beach Resort you can learn more about this ancient treatment and perhaps enjoy a traditional Ayurvedic massage. Other activities include an early morning yoga session, or you could enjoy your last day taking a cooling dip in the green waters of the hotel’s saltwater pool and a stroll along the golden sandy beach.

Day 4: Depart Cochin / Arrive UK
We bid a sad farewell to Kerala and India today as we travel to Cochin Airport to begin our journey home to the UK.
