Borneo

Introduction

Situated off the coast of Kota Kinabalu, Pulau Gaya is the largest of five islands that make up the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. The island became a forest reserve in 1923 and Sabah’s second National Park in 1974. Today, it is a tropical paradise and the ideal place for a relaxing escape. Guests can also enhance their stay with an upgrade to a spacious Bayu Villa or an elegant Kinabalu Villa, offering elevated comfort and stunning views.

Itinerary

Day 1: Gaya Island, 3 nights

We bid a fond farewell to friends we have made over the last few weeks on our Borneo adventure and head to the coast for our short speedboat transfer to beautiful Palau Gaya. Our chosen hotel is the Gaya Island Resort, nestled in the tranquil bay of Malohom and surrounded by lush rainforest, mangroves and pristine coral reefs. Our accommodation is in elegantly-designed hillside villas, offering breathtaking views of the mangrove forests, tropical rainforest or South China Sea. Settle in and enjoy the tranquillity of your environment.
