Day 1: Diani Beach, 5 nights

Say goodbye to our fellow travellers as we travel eastwards onboard Kenya’s only standard gauge railway, the Madaraka Express, to Mombasa. On arrival, we are met by our guide who takes us to a beautiful stretch of coastline at Diani Beach and our home for the next five nights, Leopard Beach Resort & Spa.

Day 2: Diani Beach, Freedom Day

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and the white sands of Diani Beach, Leopard Beach Resort & Spa also boasts three swimming pools to cool off under the warm Kenyan sunshine. Marcos Bar is perfect for a refreshing signature cocktail, whilst there are five restaurants to tempt you, including fresh seafood, al fresco beach barbecues and our personal favourite, Lemongrass, an Asian speciality fusion restaurant.

Day 3: Diani Beach, Freedom Day

Ease into another sun-soaked day at your own pace. Perhaps begin with a peaceful stroll along the beach, where the Indian Ocean laps gently at the shoreline. Later, unwind by the pool with a book in hand, or head to Uzuri Spa for a soothing massage inspired by traditional African wellness rituals. For those with a sense of adventure, optional excursions to the nearby Shimba Hills National Reserve offer a chance to spot elephants and the rare sable antelope amidst stunning landscapes.

Day 4: Diani Beach, Freedom Day

Today is yours to shape as you wish. Enjoy the beach in the golden morning light, or borrow a bike to explore the nearby villages and coastal trails. Water lovers may choose a glass-bottom boat ride or a snorkelling trip to the coral reefs of Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, where colourful fish and vibrant marine life await. However you decide to spend your time, the beauty of Diani Beach promises serenity and inspiration in every moment.

Day 5: Diani Beach, Freedom Day

Make the most of your final full day in paradise. Begin with a lazy breakfast on the terrace before stretching out under a palm tree with the sea breeze as your soundtrack. Perhaps indulge in some last-minute shopping for local handicrafts, or toast to your unforgettable stay with a sunset cocktail at the beachfront. Whether you're seeking reflection, reconnection, or simply relaxation, this final Freedom Day offers the perfect ending to your coastal retreat.

Day 6: Depart Diani Beach

Transfer to Mombasa Airport for our connecting flight to Nairobi and then onwards to the UK.

Day 7: Arrive UK

Arrive into London Heathrow this morning, with the option of connecting onward to your preferred regional airport.
