Sydney has been named as the best place to live in Australia as a result of the Mercer 2015 Quality of Living survey, which compares the living standards of over 230 cities around the world.
The city came tenth overall in the global rankings for the second year running, with Austrian capital Vienna taking the world top spot. Following Sydney in the Australian rankings is Melbourne (16th overall), Perth (22nd), Adelaide (27th), Canberra (30th) and Brisbane (37th). Quality of living was based on several factors such as health, infrastructure, transport, political stability and crime.
With our Distant Journeys Sydney day tours, you will have the opportunity to explore the amazing city of Sydney for itself and discover exactly why it is such a great place to live, visiting stunning landmarks and locations such as Sydney Harbour, including the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, and the Royal Botanic Gardens. You will also have free rein to explore the city and the surrounding area on our Freedom Days, taking in the rest of what’s on offer from natural scenery to world-class entertainment.
The organisation and communication were first class. The flexibility in travelling to the destination was impressive and the hotels where we stayed in were all of a good standard. Our Coach was driven by Ken, who was a character and nothing was too much for him.
Mr & Mrs Hall, Magnificent New Zealand
We both enjoyed the Magnificent New Zealand holiday immensely. The Coach Driver/Tour Guide was excellent and the hotels were really comfortable. The holiday was extremely good value and I would recommend it to anyone waning to taste the Antipodean holiday experience.
