The Chiefs and Crusaders have announced their teams to face each other in this weekend’s big Super Rugby clash.
The two teams face each other in the third round of this year’s Super Rugby tournament in a game which will be a big draw for supporters of the two sides and travellers alike.
Rugby is the national sport of New Zealand and it’s so popular it’s hard to travel New Zealand without coming across it in some form or another. Many people choose to embrace it by watching a game while visiting the land of the long white cloud and this weekend’s game represents an ideal one for those interested in seeing top class rugby in New Zealand.
The Crusaders, based in Christchurch, are the most successful side in the history of Super Rugby and reached last year’s final while the Hamilton based Chiefs are the most recent Kiwi winners of the competition.
The Chiefs will be recalling World Player of the Year Brodie Retallick to the second row while part time boxer and rugby icon Sonny Bill Williams also returns to the side.
The Crusaders are missing All Blacks fly half Dan Carter but are able to call on the services of All Blacks captain Richie McCaw in the back row.
The game takes place at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on Saturday night New Zealand time and you can catch it at 6.30am on Saturday morning in the UK, on Sky Sports.
The organisation and communication were first class. The flexibility in travelling to the destination was impressive and the hotels where we stayed in were all of a good standard. Our Coach was driven by Ken, who was a character and nothing was too much for him.
Mr & Mrs Hall, Magnificent New Zealand
We both enjoyed the Magnificent New Zealand holiday immensely. The Coach Driver/Tour Guide was excellent and the hotels were really comfortable. The holiday was extremely good value and I would recommend it to anyone waning to taste the Antipodean holiday experience.
